I’m Mia

I am a passionate and creative makeup artist, with a passion for special effects makeup and hair for Film and Television. Having received a foundation degree, I am currently in my final year working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Hair and media Makeup.

My journey began with receiving an art scholarship at a previous school, which led me to study at the London College of Beauty Therapy, where I trained in Media Hair and Makeup and achieved Levels 1-3.

I have gained experience over the years, starting with doing makeup for special occasions, which then led me on to doing weddings, York Fashion Week and many workshops including Mac and Krylon. With a strong passion for the Film and Television industry, my goal Is to create looks that enhance story telling and emotion. I am committed to producing high-quality, profession work that leaves a memorable impression.

Wig Making

I have experience creating realistic beards and wigs, using hand-knotting techniques to create custom facial hair for film, TV, and theatre. I have now started working on wigs, designing and styling each one to suit individual looks.

Special Effects Makeup

From realistic wounds to fantasy creatures, I use industry-standard techniques and materials to create transformations for Film, TV, and theatre.

Hair

I specialise in creating hairstyles for any occasion, including everyday styles, glamorous occasions, editorial styles, and character-specific looks. I ensure precision in each style.

Custom Prosthetic Design

Transform your appearance with custom prosthetics tailored to you. From sculpting to moulding, prosthetics are applied seamlessly to blend with the skin, bringing characters and special effects to life.

Beauty and Glam Makeup

From enhancing your natural beauty, to red carpet ready, I create flawless makeup looks for any occasion. My goal is always to highlight your beauty, whether it’s for your big day, a photoshoot or a special event.
